“Over the years I have bought CD’s from various local and regional artists. Some of them have been good. Others, not so much. Doug Fitch and his music are in another category altogether. His latest release, “Breakaway” is a great example of Doug’s talent as a songwriter, guitarist and singer. There isn’t a track on this disc that you could call a weak link. They all stand on their own very well. “How They Did It Back Home” resonates with me personally because Doug and I both grew up in the same Colorado Mountain Town. “Falling For An Island Girl” is one of my new favorites.

If you aren’t familiar with slack-key guitar music, give “Kaponokaulike” a listen. I am now a fan. “Fitch Brothers-Live in Hawaii” will give you exposure to another talented member of The Family Fitch, older brother Brad.

Do yourself a favor and buy all 5 of Doug’s releases. Support a really talented singer/songwriter and you’ll be glad you did.”
